How do the campervans and the larger motorhomes handle mountainous terrain or narrow roads?

The little campervans have strong engines for their weight. They have no problem going up hills and mountains. They are quite agile and although you sit higher up than in a station wagon the campervan is actually not more bulky to handle.
The motorhomes give you a more truck-like feeling when driving. They are good fun to drive, though, even on the narrow roads, as you find many in Tuskany or Spain. Always remember, these roads are travelled every day by trucks much bigger than the mobile home you are driving.

What do I need to be aware of when driving a motor home?

Our motorhomes are up to 3,20m tall. Not all country road bridges have that much clearance. Navigation systems may guide you along routes containing passages that are unsuitable for the RV you have rented. Therefore ultimately you need to check for yourself if you can pass under a bridge, tree, rock, telephone line, moose or whatever else may choose to be in your way...

What is the height of the camper?

A camper van with a Westfalia pop up roof clears 2.20 metres. A high-top camper van or motor home will stand some 3m high. All cars carry lables detailing the dimensions.

What is the camper's top speed?

We recommend 100 km per hour so that the camper is not overstrained. Please don’t race our campers, they’re not made for that. If you need to cover long distances in a short time, why don’t you consider a one way rental?

Are smoking or animals allowed in the campervans?

Smoking is not allowed indoors and neither are animals. Many people have allergies against all kinds of animal hair and/or don’t like the smell of cold tobacco smoke. We want to give everyone a mobile home they can enjoy.

What time can I pick up and return the camper?

We have a general pick up time at 4pm and drop off time is between 4-5 pm. That's why for your first and last rental day you pay only one. Of course, we can adapt to your needs. Please always tell us your arrival time so that we can arrange an individual pick up/drop off time with you before your arrival.
